This is a big one. It can also be a challenging one.
We all have our inner speak. Conversations we have with ourself that aren’t always positive or helpful.
Please be kind to yourself.
For a lot of people it’s not an easy thing to prioritise themselves. When you have a family it’s only too easy to end up at the bottom of the list. The thing is, the more we neglect our well being, the less we have to give to them, or ourselves.
Having positive things we say to ourselves - even if it takes a while to believe them - can have a big impact.
One of the best things to do is to acknowledge every positive step you make. Just signing up for your meal plan is a huge positive! Every time you make a healthy choice for yourself, every time you exercise, every time you notice a shift in your health and fitness. See it and acknowledge it.
Setting goals is so important too. Try not to be too fixated on numbers on the scale. You will feel your body change in lots of ways. Your measurements and shape will change. You’ll notice this in your clothes. You’ll start to feel clearer and more focused. You’ll start to have more energy.
Set goals around things that are important and enjoyable for you. Whether that’s doing a fun run, wearing particular clothes, it doesn’t matter. The point is to have a target that keeps you motivated. Make it attainable, and when you get there, set another one!
If you can have some one else on board with you - that’s great. Sharing your achievements and experiences always helps.
